About
What is The Vitality Project?
We have a proven history of assisting sufferers of chronic skin problems back to health through our personal health coaching services. Alongside skin improvements, our clients have also eliminated respiratory problems, unexplained weight gain, autoimmune issues, hair loss, allergies and more.
Our experience has taught us that Vitality is the key component in whether a person’s health is ready to be restored. Vitality, or ‘vital reserve’ is the amount of energy left over once all of the body’s daily tasks are complete. We help our clients to improve their vital reserve – the surest way to work with the body rather than against it, in restoring health.

I spent many years suffering from severe eczema and dermatitis, visiting doctors and trying just about every lotion or potion I could find. Frustrated, I embarked on a period of extensive self-experimentation and countless hours of research into these awful conditions.
This ‘research’ phase of my life changed me forever. I grew fascinated by how the body really works, and what really causes disease. This led me to eventually uproot the hidden causes of my eczema, resulting in clearer skin than I could possibly have imagined.
I started my first blog at this point, wanting to shout from the rooftops about everything I’d learnt. I ‘fell into’ coaching along the way, due to others asking what I did, and wanting support and guidance on their own health journeys.
Coming from an engineering background, I take a science-led, analytical approach to holistic health, which led me to train in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition®. (More about that on the Services page.) Being a certified FDN® practitioner allows me to use functional lab tests to help clients dive deep into unearthing dysfunction and imbalance in their body. I love working with them to find their own true path to health, and learn more and more from every client.
My fitness grew as my health improved, and my fascination with the body expanded to a wider fascination for different cultures and people from around the world. I love to travel and meet people from dramatically different cultures to my own. I have explored 60+ countries (and counting!) - much of it by bicycle.

Growing up I never thought too much about my health until I had my first panic attack and gradually descended into a state of constant tension and anxiety. It was so gradual I adjusted to thinking it was just the way I was and ‘that’s life!’. In western society we have become so used to people surviving rather than thriving. Being stressed, tired, lacking sleep and energy along with so many other ‘minor’ issues has become so common, we think it’s normal.
Following something akin to a nervous breakdown, I went to see a doctor and was referred to a therapist. As lovely as she was, this didn’t feel like I was getting anywhere. It felt like distraction from what was really happening - my body was trying to tell me something and I needed to listen!
I decided to stop looking outward and turn my attention inward. Feeling like no-one really understood how I felt and I couldn’t explain it, I decided this was going to be between me and my mind. I turned to face myself and here began one of the best adventures I’ve ever been on, it literally changed my life. Four years later, I was travelling again, getting married and planning to cycle London to Paris to raise awareness for mental health. I was more confident, healthier and fitter than I’d been in years. I felt like a completely different person! The following year I cycled the coastline of Vietnam, something I once would never have thought within my reach.
Trusting my body, listening to it and taking a logical, practical approach to healing helped me take back control of my health and wellbeing. I’m already planning future travels and adventures, confident in the knowledge that my mind is now my strength, not my weakness.
